Ok guys. I'm afraid that it isn't as simple as that. What size wire are you using from the battery to the relay? From the relay to the lights? That is just for starters. What size fuse are you using. If all this information doesn't coordinate, then you have a fire risk.

The wire from battery to relay is the big yellow (can't remember the gauge with a 30 amp fuse). The wire from relay to lights is red and heavier than the wire that came with the lights.

Current doesn't care about the color of the wire. But, if what I'm reading into this is correct. Looks like you may be OK.

Thanks. My understanding is that, to some extent, the color of the wire represents the gauge of the wire.
