Default Running light issue.

While installing a fender flare, I inadvertently crossed the side marker wires and shorted something. The marker light and the running light portion of the left blinker will not operate. Blinker works. Bulb checks out good as it works when transferred to opisite side of vehicle. Harness and side marker also works when transferred to other side of vehicle. Any clues?

Did you check the fuse for that circuit?

Not sure what fuse. Would there be one that only goes to the side marker and just the running light portion of the front blinker. All other lights work.

Fuse M17 protects the left marker and the left park light filament. The blinker has an additional filament in the same bulb.

When you say "all other lights work", does that mean you checked the left rear light, too?

That's strange. M17 also protects the park light for the left rear.
