Custom built 10" enclosure
I built this enclosure based off a post from this forum a while back. The material was just less than $100 (not including the shallow mount Rockford Fosgate 10" sub) and it's waterproof! The outside depth is 5 1/2 inches. The bass sounds awesome for a shallow mount (still can't reach the super deep bass at high volume levels) I plan on doing a full write up and have google sketchup drawings for it.

That's a damn fine looking enclosure! Wonder if there would be added benefit of adding a second one in there, with smaller letters... or is there only enough air in the enclosure for one?

Because it is a sealed enclosure I needed .6 cu ft of airspace for optimum sound. The forum user I got the idea from had two 8" subs with the bottom of the enclosure open. I also only used airspace up to the point where the tailgate offsets...the rest is just filler to make it look more professional. I didn't want it to be deeper than 6" (outside diameter) so I opted for a shallow mount sub. If you made the entire enclosure usable airspace and increased the depth, you should be able to get two 8" subs in a sealed enclosure.

I haven't done the full write-up yet. I got super busy and didn't get a chance. I might do it this Sunday. The amp is under the passenger seat and the jeeputer is under the drivers seat. Both are lifted an inch off the floor so I'm not too worried about water...unless I forget my top down and a huge storm rolls through...then I'm screwed.
