Default She's throwing a P0562 Code

So I go to get my jeep from the valet after a friends wedding and they said they can't start it. Then the valet said it just started when he came back with the charger but had not hooked it up yet. Now it has a hard time starting and is throwing a P0562 code for low system voltage. She seems to run fine once started and I ran it for a good two hours after the first time it happened. But it will struggle to start after you shut it off. Sometimes it will not turn over at all, then on the second or third attempt it will slowly crank right up. All I have on the battery is a 10K # winch and KC lights, but they haven't been used since I put them on. Well, I've turned the lights on to show off, but they haven't stayed on for more than a few seconds.

So just a bad batttery?

most likely either the battery or the alternator.

You know now that I think about it, I did have to jump my cj with her and accidently arc'd it for a brief second. Cables were hooked up to the JK when I arc'd it.

I was jumping my CJ since it had been sitting a long time and the battery was low. What happened was I was an idiot and started to hook up to the wrong leads on the CJ.

Yeah, wasn't paying attention. But it was a couple of weeks ago that I did it. I would say it ran fine for 3 days with no starting problems.

I noticed my jk wasn't starting as quickly, pulled the same code. The battery lasted another week before dying. It was the OEM , lasted 2yrs.

yep just had it tested and came up with a bad cell, so trying to find a yellow top locally. Not easy.

Mine died about 1 1/2 years after I bought it. It's funny this thread came up cause I went out today to go to work and the same thing happened. The dealer put in a oem battery to replace the bad one, but if you have another put in, I think it's just going to be a problem in 1-2 years. Those batteries they use suck.

Just got the same code. Went to start it and nothing. Running the yellow top battery. Going to check to see if the battery has charge.
