got mine from quadratec it is the 9" model I think, they have all different lengths

it doesn't get as good reception as the stocker, and anyone who shortens their antenna significantly and tells you otherwise isn't trying to pick up FM stations that are 40-60 miles away on a daily basis where the atmospheric pressure and ceiling determines where the station drops. On average I say I lose 3 or 4 miles of reception with this one over the stock antenna, but sometimes I can hold my station on my 40 mile commute to work, and sometimes it cuts out about half way, where as before I usually hold it out to 30 miles prety consistently, it just depends on the weather...

also you'll notice that you'll lose reception if your next to an 18 wheeler, especially if it's between you and your signal

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just resurrect this one.

Just installed the 9" Antenna-X from Quadratec. Reception went totally to crap. I'm going to send it back.

1) Anyone have any experience with the 14"? How much, if any , reception loss did you note? How far away are the stations?

2) For those of you who have cut your stock antennas off, how much, if any, reception did you lose?

...I believe it's the 13" "off-road" rubber antenna, which is what I have. I recommend it over and over again.
