I had the post of fml jeep, first mygig was stolen, this one took 3 weeks to be mailed from a jack wagon.
I get the radio today it is a 2009, REN model with the separate voice and Uconnect buttons.
When I hit either of the buttons on the radio for Uconnect it says no Uconnect available?!?
Btw I have Uconnect an it worked fine on the stolen radio which was a RBZ dated 2010. But it was stolen....
If I hit the buttons on my steering wheel they do nothing?
Please help me!!!

I've tried doing my own research on this, might be an update. But anyone else have any ideas?

My guesses are that either a harness is disconnected or the 2010 uconnect module is not backwards compatible with the REN radio. Since your steering wheel buttons don't do anything I would look into a loose /disconnected harness.

Well volume works and so does seek?
I did some digging and found that on the engineering menu of mygig, which is accessed by hitting menu+both seek buttons on the REN, there should be an enable Uconnect option. Some reason I don't see it on mine. This thread was for a RER so that maybe why?
It could be that it's not backward compatible but that seems like my last resort to end up with.
I'm going to reinstall the last update.
Then dig around more I guess.
I guess I finally stumped the forum? :(

Yeah, the Eng menu is for the RER and RHR. Have you tried MOFV.com and the dealer?

I tried mofv, and the radio shows the most current file, and my dealer is as useless as wet kleenex. I know more about jeeps and this is my first one than they do. They first told me they don't make mygigs for jeeps....
I did access that engineering page, just didn't have the uconnect. I wish it had that on that page, because it seems it would have fixed it.

So does anyone know how to enable Uconnect on a REN model?
