Default Side marker led bulb problem

So I decided to witch my bulbs to led. I add resistors to the turn signals to stop hyper flash but now the side markers flash with the turn signals are on with the lights off. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Having a hard time following...did you wire up the side marker lights to work with your turn signals?

So you have:

LED marker lights

standard incandescent turn signals with resistor

Am I correct? Please clarify and maybe we could help more.

Sorry I left some stuff out. I changed all of my bulbs to led. I have resistors on front and rear turn signals. The side markers will flash when the turn signals are used when there are no other lights on.

Its all good.

I typed in "How to install LED marker lights on a JK Wrangler" in youtube and came back with a few videos. I would suggest trying the videos for reference to see if your problem matches theirs.

Hope you find something useful. Come back if not.

Some guys mod the side markers to flash with the directionals. It involves tieing the side marker positive to the turn signal positive. You did not do this when adding the resistors?

Both side markers flash if I put the turn signal on

Ah. No clue. The only connection I can see between the directional and the side markers is when you turn your lights on. Do you think you may have added the resistor into the wrong directional wire?

I don't think I added the resistors to the wrong wires. The hyper flash went away. I am thinking maybe the side markers need resistors as well.

Well there's 3 wires going into the directional. And I have no clue but I'm just throwing it out there. One wire would be ground. One wire would be for directional and the other wire would be for running light when the headlights are on. I didn't pull the bulb but guessing it has two filaments. I don't know if the led replacement has two LEDs to mimic the two filaments or just brightness differences to compensate for two filaments. But if your resistor causes the markers to flash, there would only be one wire of the two 12v wires that would be included in the circuit with the side markers. But if the LED connects these two wires internally then all bets are off.

Sorry I couldn't be much help. Hope you get it sorted.

Both side markers just flash at a regular speed. The outside wires are the directional and negative
