I'm wanting to use the silverstars for my running lights (fogs) but I have read on other forums that they will hurt the lenses over time, has anyone experienced this?

Maybe you should take their hint and re-aim your headlights.

I am very confused.

I purchased a set of headlight bulbs and fog lights bulbs from "Warehouse Collection" from an eBay Motors store. They were the Sylvania H13 (9008) (headlights) and 9145 (fogs):

Headlamps: ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-Xenon-Light-Bulb-Jeep-Wrangler-2009-2008-2007-09-08_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ36476QQihZ002QQitemZ 120378478724

Fog lights: ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-Xenon-Fog-Light-Jeep-Wrangler-2009-2008-2007-09-08_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ36476QQihZ002QQitemZ 120378478733

Although the description does not state they are the Sylvania bulbs, they were packaged in Sylvania packaging.

Problem was, as soon as I put them in, one of each pair would cut out. I finally figured out they were drawing too much wattage. So I returned them.

Any idea what's the difference betwen the bulbs listed on the Sylvania web page and those on the eBay web site listed above????

I really do want to upgrade my headlamps/fog lamps, but am frustrated due to the above situation!

I contacted David Stearn and asked him about the Wrangler lighting and he responded with very good information. BUt, he also suggested buying a particular bulb from his web site that would require updating wiring and other things. Too much trouble!

Help!!!!

Just finished putting in my headlights and foglight bulbs. Can't wait until it gets dark so I can see how they look.

I installed the headlight and fog light bulbs this past weekend after reading this thread and I must say that the fog lights seem to be brighter but I expected alot more of the headlights after reading all of the comments about them. I almost expected them to be like stock high beams on the low beam setting. They do seem to project more light towards the side of the road but nothing too amazing, maybe I'm just blind.

Super white (bluish) color, xenon gas filled, 12V, 4500~5000K
paupl575, I think that this is the problem. I can not find the info. But, I know that mine are not that bright. And mine are not blue.

I did the headlights over the weekend... they are much nicer than the stock lights...

I had to keep one stock to show my wife as she doesn't understand what I meant when I said the stock headlights aren't true white, more of a dim yellow. As soon as she saw the Silverstar vs stock, she understood.

Now I need to save up another $43 bucks to buy the fogs. Can the stock fog light housing be adjusted to aim? Since installing my XHD bumper, they seem to point more to the ground than before.
