Default Sirius Antenna Removal

I'm replacing my stock radio and want to remove the Sirius antenna also. Does anyone have any pics or info on where it is that would help me with getting it out?

I cant find anything that shows exactly where it is or how to get it out with my searches. Do you need to take the top off to get it out?

TIA!

I believe that it is part of the standard antenna. It is the extra wrap around it,

It's not the stock antenna. THat extra wrap is to tune the antenna. The SAT antenna is located here: Sat Tuner Antenna

I have installed one of those so I know what you will need to do. You will have to remove the passenger side lower door plastic molding and the plastic panels on the b-pillar. Then you will have to unzip all the sport bar cover like the photo shows to unclip the sat antenna block. The antenna may be tapes into the rest of the body wiring harness so you might have to cut that to remove. It routes up behind the glove box so you should remove that to get good access for removal.

Not sure if the 10's are located where the 08's are. I have an 08 and it is located on the panel right above the head unit. The GPS and the Sirius antenna both are there.

Why not leave it where it is, that way it's still there for possible future use or resale? Leaving it in and unpluging it will not harm anything.

Don't believe that is correct, the module in that panel is the compass module. I had to reinstall it when I did my daystar panel.

I have a rack as well and plan to replace it and place a magnetic antenna on the hood as it sometimes interferes with it, but mostly just when I have something on the rack. 95% of the time it's just fine.
