Default Sirius Sat. Reception prob.

I don't know if anyone has a fix, but i am getting constant interruption on my sat. When I had XM no prob what so ever. On the jeep it drives me crazy. It is so bad I will def. not re-sign with them if it does not get fixed. HELP

I only have problems around tall buildings with mine....I dont like the Sirius as much as the XM in my wifes hummer, but the reception is fine.
Id say take it to the dealer. Could be a loose connection on the satellite antenna.

I have problems with our JK sirrius radio with taller trees along the road right of way, Driving along south side of step mountian forestry roads. I have complained about the reception to the dealer but same old thing....could not replicate problem.

Sirius has way better reception than XM around Revelstoke, BC. I know a few loggers and forestry workers that switched to Sirius from XM as they were losing the reception constantly around the Rocky/Selkirk mountain ranges.

Sirius reception in most areas is not as good as XM from what I have read over the past year here on the forum and from my own experience. I drive 3.8mi to work and it cuts out about 8times, XM NEVER cut out in the 2years I had it on same drive. Also I've had sirius cut out on sunny days driving on the interstate, its rediculous.

Do a search on here and you will find plenty of people saying the same thing.

I love my Sirius, the only time I lose reception is in tunnels or really heavily wooded streets where the trees overhang to road...I have driven to northern Maine down to Maryland with it including out to Martha's Vineyard (small island) never an issue with me.
It does sound as though the antenna might be the problem, at least worth having looked at

I have lost some reception on some nasty thunder and rain storms...but not on overcast/cloudy day.

exact opposite for XM up here in my neck of the woods...people complaining about XM kicking out for long stretches in the Rocky Mountians may had to do with the Lat's and Long's and where the sat's are located at the time.
