Default Sorry, didn't know where else to post this...EGR

'07 JK auto trans. p0404 code...EGR. Obviously replacing the EGR would be a bitc* and a half on my Jeep. But...it could just be a sensor problem; do the easy and cheap things first, if that doesn't work, then go to more pricy and difficult things. Any advice on how to test the EGR sensors? BTW, my Jeep only has 17,000 miles....Yes boys and girls, that is not a typo...only 17,000 miles. I can't imagine an ERG would be physically clogged after such few miles!

Thanks in advance for all responses!
