Default Sound System Overhaul

I own a 2013 wrangler unlimited Sahara and recently completely overhauled my entire sound system. I knew when starting this build that I wanted to keep the original navi head unit so in order for me to install an aftermarket amplifier I went ahead and purchased an Audio control LC6i unit. This allows you to tap into your factory amp located under the steering column. powering this new system is a Kenwood ZR900-5 amp. I went with this amp because I wanted something that could power the entire system on its own and still give good power to my sub-woofers. The amp fits perfectly under the drivers seat. The Audio control LC6i fits in a nice corner under the steering column. For the front speakers I went with Focal Components. They are 6 1/2 inch speakers with 1 inch aluminum tweeters. Installing the mid bass drivers was very easy. The stock speaker pods can be removed within 5 minutes. When I removed the speaker pods I knew I wanted the sound deaden them and fill them with poly fill. I purchased 2 $2 poly filled pillows from Walmart and a roll of Peal and Seal from Lowe's. Once I removed the stock speakers from the speaker pods I completely covered the inside and outside of the pods with The Sound deadening material. This was not to make the pods quieter, it was to have them not rattle since the new speakers going in were going to be loud. Poly fill also helped the sound out a bunch. For the tweeters all that is needed to pop out the old crappy tweeters is a small flat head screwdriver or a credit car like I did. I than used a grinder to open up the tweeter hole because the new tweeters were a little too big for the factory hole. You just have to keep test fitting the tweeter till it fits in tight. I did not use any glue to keep them in place they are pressed in tightly and do not move. For the rear speakers now I went with Focal Coaxial speakers. I removed the sound bar and added sound deadening to it and poly fill. The sound deadening and poly fill makes to music sound much better. I advise anyone to do this even if they have stock speakers. On to the sub-woofers now. I went with 2 Jl Audio 12w3v3 subs in a ported box. These things can really make some noise. They are wired at 2ohm and are receiving 600rms. I forgot to mention the front and rear speakers are recieving 60rms. The sound system truly is amazing. Absolutely no comparison whatsoever to a stock system. Anyone who rides in my jeep goes absolutly crazy over how good it sounds. The speakers are crystal clear and the subwoofers make your hair stand up. The jeeps interior is great for music. The boxy shape of the car makes it like one big subwoofer or something. This car is built well because none of my interior rattles. I really recommend you guys upgrading your sound system it makes every drive an experience for you. These products all cost me a pretty penny and the only way I was able to do this was by purchasing things little by little till I had everything I needed.
