Default speaker issues

Ok so when om my ride to work this morning I noticed my speakers sounded weaker than usual. After fiddling with the sound isolation on the head unit I discovered that both my fornt passenger AND rear passenger speakers are emitting very very low sound. Almost like when someone is listening to headphones too loud next to you. Is there a fuse that controles just one side of the car audio? Is it possible that BOTH speakers kicked the bucket at the same time? Any info on tis subject would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Sounds to me like its a head unit or amplifier issue not a speaker issue is it just the stock system or the infinity?

Perhaps you fiddled with the balance?

Of you lost one of the channels in your head unit. This could happen. Double check your fade controls.

I've checked the fade its in the middle. It's the stock head unit. (I should have mentioned that earlier) if I go poking around the head unit what exactly should I be looking for?

Since the problem seems to be affecting one side only it sounds like you need to adjust the balance, fade is front to back, balance is side to side.

The fade is fine. I used it to isolate individual speakers, and that's how I discovered that both passenger front and rear are malfunctioning. The likelihood of both speakers dying at the same exact time seems slim. So I'm thinking that it might be a wire or fuse. I just don't know where I would begin looking.

If it isn't to obvious and your under warranty, I would let the dealership worry about it. Tracing issues like that can be complex. If your not under warranty still, I would suggest a new stereo setup go on your Christmas list. Lol.

You may want to check the actual wire connections, sometimes when the installers just "twist" the wires together, it dilutes the sound quality. Also could be the unit itself.
