Default Spod led 50" bar issue

Hello fooks, i installed a 50" led bar over an SPOD. Works perfect. (sorry for my english but i am dutch and living in the Dominican Republc)...

So now:

I wanted to connect the led bar to the high beams / and signal high beam. So that the come up together with my high beams.

If there should be an issue with the running lights, i can disconnect them. A have a small computer for that.

So what i did:

-first i looked for the wire as close the the main bulb that gives power to high beam. I connected this wire to t 40A relay and other to the ground. Then i took one of the 2 cables that goes from the ledbar to the Spod and put it in serie with the cable.

Everything worked really as i wanted. First i need to activate the Ledbar by the normal Spod switch. After that i can use my fixed high beam and pulse high beam. The ledbar goes together with the main lights...

But.... after 1 day the realy starts to make a small noise, ONLY when the engine is running and the light flickers... it think its burning or so... The ledbar is a 300 Watt version. The relay 40A. When the lights are on without running engine it works ok...

What did i wrong????? Help from the Dominican Republic!!!

So i just disconect the hotwire from the realy and connected the relay directly to the battery. And NO problems at all. Engine running or not running... its working perfect.

So what is wrong with the power from the head lights or how can i resolve this?

I don't fully understand how you had it hooked up when it was giving you trouble. You would want your main power to the light to come off of the battery. You can switch your relay by running from your high beam power into the spod switch, and out to your relay. That way your lightbar wouldn't be drawing current through your high beam circuit or spod switch.
