That's part of my plan. I have been doing lots of research on working with the fiberglass resin and mat. I will use the tape and a release agent. I will probably only do a couple of layers in the Jeep until the structure is stable enough to remove and finish it in the garage. I have had some water in the tub back there so, I may leave the ruber "drain plug out, but the enclosure will definitely be removeable.

I really want to do something like this but don't know Jack about fiberglass or Cu.ft. required for subs. I want to add a sub to my existing MYgig system w/infinity sub just for more punch. what about two 8" subs? Do yall know if 8s give you more punch instead of long drawn out vibs. I don't want to shake the metal off my ride like some guys but I want it to sound bad to the bone solid.

I take delivery of my jeep friday, and i'll map out how i would do this enclosure. I keep getting more crazy ideas in my head about it. I'm also going to (attempt) to map out the accoustics of the box design, determine sq. cu. ft. and decide what sub-woofer to use. If only i can incorporate an amp rack into this as well. I'm thinking one of those 4channel + 1 mono channel amps would be an ideal amp for a jeep. Of course with a good system in the jeep, you might blow out your seal on your hardtop and cause it to leak (which would be awesome and suck at the same time).

Hello, I'm the guy who did the 10" sub and I forgot the name of the guy who did the 2 x 8". I think I did it a week before him but we both posted up the pictures together. If you have questions, I'll be sure to help.

Although, I am in the process of making a fiberglass one. I've done something but haven't really talked about it yet. Still keeping in DL but once Winter is gone (I don't have a garage to work in) I'll continue. I will keep everyone updated. I've been very busy w/ house construction as well for the last 6 months. But soon as Spring comes, I'll continue w/ my work.

Details:
10" 2-ohm subwoofer
injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone with ribbed Santoprene surround
suitable for marine use
power handling: 50-400 watts RMS (800 watts peak power)
frequency response: 25-350 Hz
sensitivity: 87.2 dB

top-mount depth: 4-5/16"<-----This is not good because doesn't give you much space in the box and will rub in the bottom as the depth of the JK storage area is a little more than 4.75". So you will have to have the woofer box sticking out about 2-3 inch which is pretty much pointless.

sealed box volume: 0.8-3.0 cubic feet
ported box volume: 1.25-1.75 cubic feet
Recommended Q-Logic Box Type: 2, 3
warranty: 1 year
