Default Sub/amp wiring help needed

I just brought home a 2012 JK Arctic edition with the Garmin Nav. I built a spacer and am installing a Image Dynamics 8" sub into the factory enclosure but I am hesitating on where to install the amp. I have been looking at it the past couple of days and I think the best place is under the passenger seat. This will give me easy access to the battery b/c it's on that side, and I believe I can use my amps hi level inputs to both get my signal and get my accessory power. Then just run my speaker cables back to the sub. Has anyone done this before, and if so where to the sub wires get fed down and what are the colors and polarity for those existing sub wires. If I get some help, I'll post pics of the final install.

Thanks,
