Default Subwoofer on the tailgate

I've seen many pictures where the aftermarket sub was mounted on the tail gate.
Anyone with this, has rattling be an issue?
I dont like a vehicle that has some sub in the trunk, and everything on the back part of the vehicle is rattling.
I
It's going to be a 10" sub , so it wont be anything crazy big.
I will be removing the factory Sub, but i dont think the new one is going to fit the same place.

I mounted a Kicker 10” preloaded box to my tailgate. No rattling.

What did you use, and how did you mount it? Just open up the subwoofer box and drill some screws through?

The box came with some L-brackets. In addition to four of those I drilled one hole through the back of the box into the tailgate and used a rivet-nut to screw the box to the gate.
