Default Thinking about upgrading speakers?

I'm thinking about upgrading my speakers, both sound bar and front... just wondering what will sound the clearest and loudest, also would like to get some boom boom under the back seat if anyone has any ideas... my trunk it taken up by a tuffy security drawer...

Component in front 100bucks And 4way 6.5 speakers in sound bar. Like 200dollar upgrade. As far as subs u can get kicker cvt 8inch and mount under seat with amp.

Oh okay.. when u say component in front, you mean a new head unit?... I was seeing posts about getting Boston Acoustics out of a Challenger, is that worth it

Believe it or not, if you dont wanna invest much money, change the headunit first. Everyone thinks the crappy sound is due to the speakers, and while true to a degree, you'll get more of a sound upgrade with a new head unit. Then if you still want.... do speakers (you'll want to). The reason being the factory deck is very low powered, has high distortion, and dubious eqaulization. Funny thing here to me is how so many jeep "modders" actually want to or are afraid to change the radio from stock. lol!
