Default Through the tub access

I'm trying to run a backup camera and potentially a CB coax from my bumper, or even getting the ultratech bracket.

Can someone suggest (maybe even pictures) of places to run cables from under the JK to the center console? Since I don't have a lift, I'd like to spend as little as possible under it.

Thanks!

I think there's a grommet there that the emergency brake runs through. Maybe it's big enough to fit you cable also.

I would stay higher up. Run it like most of us run the antena wire, stay inside the cab.....under the passenger seat....along the carpet....up the pillar behind the plastic......along the top of the tub just under the carpet......and out through the brake light harness running to the tail gate....Piece of cake!

thanks for the input, but I install it on the tailgate, in the sparetire, then I won't be able to use it for the trailer hookup which I told my wife what it was for. So I was thinking going under the bumper next to the reciever like someone had posted. I guess I'll jack it up and climb under it and see where I can go in at. I'll take a look at the emergency break area.

Thanks!

did you say jack up the jeep? i can crawl under it no prob, i'm also kinda skinny. as for the cb wire run it along the tail gate. take off the tire and you'll see two rubber grommets/plugs. pull one of them(or both) and cut a slice about halfway to the middle and stop. slide the cable into the slit and run your wires through the tail gate and then route inside the cab. i ran my cb wire along the top lip of the tub. then route down along the support pillar, and then route over to the dash. alway better to have extra wire then no enough. this way you'll have room to get creative with the way you can mount your system. i mounted the antenna on the spare, and used a thick grounding wire to ensure a good ground connection (if you don't have a good ground you won't be able to tune your swr). good luck and always ask questions.

X2 on what Neopj3 said. You can go up from under the bumper behind the tail light on eather side as the bottom is just a foam insert then run through the grommet in the top of the area then along the top of the tub on the inside with the factory wiring.

I am not skinny, nor do I have a lift on it.....Jacking it up is more for convience than anything else

I felt around in the cavity behind the tail light and seemed like a good place to go, but didn't really feel anything going in there. I'll have to get the hardtop off and soft top out of the way and it'll probably make things easier to deal with.

Thanks for all the pointers!
