Suggest looking for things that can emit radio frequency interference, which is almost any electronic device -- especially in close proximity to the center of the dash.
For instance, if my wife stores her cell phone near the center of the dash it will intermittently interfere with reception of the TPMS sensors (which is what the blinking TPMS light that goes solid-on after a minute of so means). I had another device plugged into the lighter plug that did the same thing intermittently.
