Default Trailer brake

I have a 2011 Rubicon and need to hook up a trailer brake controller. Anyone know where I can get a hot wire from the brake switch that activates when the brake pedal is pressed on.

Probably best to tap into the brake lamp circuit itself.

That's exactly what my Prodigy says to do, connect into the brake light wire coming from the pedal.

Tried the lamp circuit, but that also gives me the directional.

Then I would suggest installing an additional limit switch on the pedal itself. Something like this?

I went to the dealership the other day before wiring up my brake controller and they confirmed it's the white wire with the tan stripe.

Waterboarder has a great write-up on this on some other forum.
There are two places to tap a wire; by the brake and in the engine bay in front of you.
I remember that one of them was white with a tan stripe...
