Default U Connect Question

IV got a Indash Navi system with U Connect in my 09 Sahara.
Without paying the outlandish stealer price, is there a website to get just the mic and how hard is it to install and activate?
Thanks.

I didn't think $35 was an outlandish price from my dealership for it personally. Part number is 82211743AB, got it the next day. I think the list price was $41.

Once you have it, plug it into the back of the radio, then go into the engineering menu (press Seek UP + Seek DOWN + Menu simultaneously), and go down to page 4 or 5, where you'll see a button labeled "Enable JK HF/VR". Press that button, and you'll see the Enable change to Disable, and you're all set. Exit the menu, and press the UConnect button, it should respond to you. For some reason, mine didn't take on the first try, so I hit disable, then re-enabled, and it has worked fine ever since.

Thanks for the reply.
Reason I said outlandish is I was under the impression they were a lot more than that.

Does this work on non Nav but UConnect equipped radio heads? (I have the 6 disc change in my 09 X.)
Also does this enable BlueTooth for the phone or does that require another module? if not, What benefit does the mic alone grant you?

No, thus us only for Navigation MyGig radios. For the 6 disc Radio, you'll need the full UConnect kit, part number 82211878, which rus about $250 list. Once installed, you'll need to have the dealer activate it, which is usually 1/2 to 1 hour labor charge, and requires the dealer to do it.
