Uconnect Install
CAn you install uconnect on a base X cd player. I have an 07 JK and have the uconnect button but dont know if its something I can install.

I added it to the Single Disc on my 08 Rubi with no problems. You have to get the kit, which has a list price of about $250 from the dealer and intall that. Once it's installed, the dealer needs to hook it up to the StarScan tool and activate the feature for it to work. I've been very happy with it so far.

Coastal Tech sells a wired microphone that plugs into the back of the radio and makes the Uconnect work. I have been using it and love it. It was only $70 bucks or so.

The addition of only a mic only applies to MyGig. If you've got a single or six disc, you must purchase the Uconnect module.
