Default Uconnect and Ipod now working

Hey Saharablack,
I purchased that radio from Ebay and the auxiliary was live so I now have Uconnect and the ipod working..... although I spent an hour at the Dealership yesterday having them confirm that my radio aux port in the back was in fact dead, they told me they are going to call me monday and let me know what they are going to do. Ha!
As long as I have it working I really don't need them to do anything now, of course it would have been easier if they had just switched one out when I asked but NOOOOOOOO they have to follow certain procedures... so anyway to me it was $100 well spent. The funny thing is this radio was stamped June 28 2007 and mine was june 12 I think it's smudged but it is in the same year. Just seems odd that some are dead with such a close build date.
Anyway it's nice to be able to control through the radio now and no wire in front!
Thanks and also a big Thanks To RICH C for posting the directions and the how to install.

Quick Question!
does your Ipod continue to charge even when the ignition is off?
Mine does and if there are any drawbacks it is that you have to remove the Ipod plug physically before leaving the Jeep. In past jeeps It only charged when the ignition was on, now that I'm writing this I'm wondering if it shuts down a few minutes after leaving the car...Duh ...could be!

Hey that is awsome that you got it going. Where is the write up on the install to get the ipod to work thru the mygig. A guy that I met at the dealership is trying to find out how to get his ipod to work in his mygig non nav unit that is in his wife's Town and country. If you could point me in the right direction to controlling the ipod thru the mygig it would help out a bunch
TIA
Andrew

Sorry ..I have non mygig factory radio w/infinity w/uconnect module installed which came with the ipod connector . I'm pretty sure if you type into the search at the top of the forum Mygig ipod connect or integration you should get some posts about people who have added to their systems.

Mine charges for a few min after turning off the ignition, then shuts off.

lol Congrats Rico, you had an even harder time getting the whole thing up and running than I did.

As far as charging, I believe as stated above it charges for a bit after you turn off the ignition and then shuts off. I'll have to double check today while I'm out and about. On the brightside, if it runs longer than that, I've never had any issue with it drawing down the battery.
