So im a little unclear about Uconnect and the lockpick i have. I have the RER with Lockpick installed and uconnects works just fine. But now i wanna add the ipod intergration cable to the system. Is it true that i have to buy the 200 dollar uconnect module to make the ipod cable work? If my uconnect works, why do i have to buy the module for it? Thanks for any help

so what ive been reading is that its just a software issue why the ipod intergration cable wont work on the 2007 model..

The 2007 RER's will not work with the iPod cable. I didn't believe what I read on the forums and bought the cable anyway...could not get it to work. I ended up buying a used RHR.

 

Yeah I bought it also, I keep seeing that if you buy the module, the iPod cable will work. So sad, I just want my iPod to work without a cord stickin out of the front. :(
