Default Uconnect mic not working

Just bought a new 2010 JK Unlimited Rubicon. It is my new love. Completely loaded, has the in-dash nav, but the uconnect mic seems dead. I took it to the audio shop, and they said everything was connected correctly in the back of the stereo, the only thing they could think of is a dead mic. It does have an aftermarket amp and system installed. Anyone have any ideas?

1) Which radio do you have?

2) Where is the mic located?

3) Depending on which radio you have, the mic may not be connected to the radio.

4) Do you know if the Uconnect is factory or dealer installed?

Since it's a 2010, it should have the RER, and my first guess would be #3, seen it happen before.

The mic has a short 3 pin connector in the "A" pillar which plugs into a 3 pin connector lead harness and ends up behind the radio as a gray 10 pin connector that plugs into the radio.
The aftermarket amp shouldn't have anything to do with the mic working or not.

I already checked it out, everything is connected fine. I'm bringing it to the dealer next week to have them check it out. That's the only thing I can think of.
