Default Unique problem - TIPM, Door Locks, Viper 5901 alarm, help

I recently lost my power door locks, fuse M38 immediately blows upon insertion, the only system that has failed. I have narrowed it down to a failure in the TIPM as no wiring in the harness is shorted. My question is: I'm debating installing a Viper alarm that would control the door locks and adding modules for the windows. I would also be installing something similar to the CHALL and CHTH2 Xpresskits not wanting to hack/splice any wiring. Does this type of alarm utilize the TIPM for the control of the door locks or would the Viper control the locks and take the TIPM out of the equation. I could install the alarm for the cost of a new TIPM and have a better alarm system in the process.
Thanks for the help.

From what I can understand, as I have been researching the possibility of installing a Viper alarm myself, is that you will need to use a DBALL or similar device. The Viper will be able to interface with the DBALL using D2D (data to data) and the interface hooks up to the internal CAN Bus or similar control lines. Much simpler wiring and easier to remove if necessary.

I still have some more to figure out before I finally pull the trigger, but what I have determined, is that doing a fill wired install is not necessary and a waste of time.

As far as your fuse issue, no idea. Don't suppose you have any warranty left?
