You have to order them from Navteq on their website. They run $199.

199 is a rip off in my opinion. i have a tom tom also and to keep the maps up to date for a year is 59 i think.. 199 is TOO MUCH!

No, there is no such thing as a nav unit updating via satellite. They only triangulate your location via satellites, but all the data for the maps is provided by dvds and either stored on a dvd or on a hard drive, depending on what you have. Portable units you plug into your computer and download the maps or use a memory card.

right my bro inlaw has a garmin gps he says it updates by satelight so he wrong then
