If you have the stock head, you're not going to be able to control your iPod through the stereo. I had the basic with the Aux jack, and just installed a Kenwood 7190HD Nav.
There are plenty of options out there for head units with iPod control. Pioneer has some nice inexpensive units.

Well I have the stock AUX jack in my stock head unit. I bought the wire to connect my droid phone to the head unit. I am very pleased with the sound. I down loaded a free app on my phone and can listen to any radio station or genre music in the world. 90's rock all the way

This informatiomn is actually for 2010 radios only.
The 2011 RES, REQ, RHB & RBZ radios will need to have Uconnect and if it wasn't installed by the factory, then you'll need to have the optional USB / iPod cable PN 82212160.
If you don't have Uconnect installed, then you'll need the Mopar Uconnect kit PN 82212159 and then also the optional cable mentioned above. You can find both parts online for about $300. Then do the install yourself. After the install, you'll need to go to the dealer and have the vehicle flashed to code "RSP". Call around and you'll find a dealer to do it for about $50.
