Default USB mic for uconnect?

Does anyone know, or has tried a USB mic to use with the Uconnect? I know you can buy a mic and hook it in from the back, but I know they make USB mics too and was wondering if that would work. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

haven't tried this, but I highly doubt it would work.

The uconnect feature has to recognize that there is a microphone plugged into the back of the unit before it will become active. thus, the usb microphone wouldn't do this.

Well I've already activated my Uconnect and paired my phone and everything. I can hear it when people call me, I just can't respond because I have no mic. You think I'd still have to route a mic up through the back in this case?

gotta have a mic for it to work, and i just don't think the usb that's there is designed for any kind of mic. so the only route to get a mic hooked up is on the back of the unit.

the people that make the lockpick sell one for about 20 bucks, that's the one i use with no problems and it plugs in real easy.

How long did it take you to take the dash apart and pull out the head unit, run the mic, etc...?

How do I know if I need the Lockpick software or can simply just install the mic?

Just need to install the mic, I don't have Lockpick or any others and it works just fine for me.
