Default Utilizing OEM switches for AUX Lights?

I have a 2010 2 Door sport, so out of the 5 switches down by the shifter, only 2 of them are used (4 ways and trac) I was looking through the other threads and i havent seen much on the use of OEM switches. I was wondering if if be able to use just a push button switch, like the others are, for my AUX lights. I want to keep the dash clean and make it look factory. can anyone help?

a). Behind those switches is a circuit board.

b). Those switches communicate with the computer, rather than control things directly.

c). If you wanted to install a switch there, you would have to either drill a hole through the circuit board that is behind the switches, and hope you don't kill anything, or, figure out how to, on your own, program the computer to do what you want when you push the switch you install. Note that EITHER of these is HIGHLY unlikely. This activity will most certainly give the manufacturer ample basis for restricting your warranty on anything related to the electrical system.

d). Install your new switches somewhere else.

Thank you. Got one more, might sound like a stupid question, but placing switches on the dash wont void anything, will it?

Maybe your dash? But seriously, ANY mods you make could void your warranty.

try the area above the driverside front speaker. Its easy to get behind (by removing the side panel) and you can flush mount switches that look good.
