What Battery to get?
so went out to the garage to take the Jeep to Lowes yesterday, tried to start it...slow cranking then fired up. Leaving Lowes, Jeep won't start noticed on my way there the check engine light was on, called the wife and got a jump . I know the stock batteries don't last long, so now that I'm in the market (today) for a new battery what is everyone running? I am thinking yellow or red top Optima but which one??? too many choices

I am saving up for the Die Hard Marine Platinum. It was between that and a yellow top, and after reading some stories online I decided against the yellow top. Sounds like warranty is tough to work with in some cases. Plus the Die-Hard has a slightly longer warranty

I just installed a Optima yellow top 34 series. The original battery lasted about 3 years. I had considered the Die Hard Platinum. There wasn't a big difference in price, but the store that sells the Optima is only a couple of blocks away.

Hello Jim,
If you have after market accessories you would need a Yellow Top battery. Unfortunately Optima does not have a direct fit replacement. You could possibly do a custom fitment. Below are directions for custom fitments. The only direct fit replacement that Optima has for your 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK 3.8L is a Red Top 25.
that is why im asking for a few pictures of fitment could it be that i got a person that is clewless
