Default What componants do you have?

I have quite a bit of car audio sitting around (avic z130bt w/add ons) to be installed and I was toying with the idea of doing the speakers at the same time. What components do you have in your JKs?

When I search on crutchfield I get 1 set that fits. I was wondering if anyone else found a set that require little to no modifications. I have seen the kickers and it seems everyone is pleased with those so I may go that route but it seems the price for those with the tweeters as well is about the same as the ones recommended on crutchfield. I'm not looking to spend too much, but I'd like a set that will possibly prevent me from wanting to get a sub down the line.

Suggestions?

I'm also interested. I read kickers do best with the stock unit because they are 4ohms, and the stock setup uses a 4 ohm amp vs the infinity using a 2 ohm amp and speakers (not sure if it makes a difference). I think it's just a matter of finding shallow speakers. In my old Honda Civic, it required shallow speakers. I had installed a set of Memphis carbon fiber componant speakers. 150$ a pair (2006) and they were extremely clean sounding especially maxing them out. A decent subwoofer is a must though, because they lacked low tones entirely. As for installation, I know I needed to create custom brackets to make them work. Not sure how they would fit in a JK, though.

Hope that helps

I went with fosgate 6.5 separates in the front of my 2011... only a little modification to the front housing and they dont need a crossover which really made it very easy.

Polk audio. Make sure you seal the box well. Makes a huge difference.
