I'm still lost on scanners. I read and read for hours and still get nowhere. My question is what scanners read codes other than the normal POxxxx ones they all do? In other words I want a scanner that can read codes that start with the B and C letter (maybe they all do? No way to tell). Doing the onboard checks using the ignition switch only the P codes are listed. Also along the same lines, I need a scanner that during the datastream items such as"clutch depressed", "brakes applied" ect are available items to monitor. 2014 wrangler sometimes cruise control shuts off on it't own, and I need a scanner to watch these items and others to narrow the problem. Seems 99.99% of scanners are used for check engine light. I don't have that problem.
I have an OTC Genisys I paid a fortune for back 15yrs ago that does all this with ease, but too old to update to work on the 2014 wrangler.

The scanner I have from Harbor Freight has worked for engine and brake codes on my JKU as well as my son's TJ.

I haven't found how to log in the flashpaq, particularly what you're asking for- clutch/ brakes applied. It does read the B, C, and U codes though.

I also have a generic dongle that pairs with the Torque app. It pulls more data from the sensors but doesn't reveal the B, C, and U codes. I believe it logs but I don't know about clutch/ brakes depressed.

I'd be curious about the BlueDriver guys, if it will log what you're looking for.

I ended up with both a Launch Diagun IV, and a Snap-On Ethos Edge. I highly recommend either, but the Snap-On is fabulous, as it records all data and you can then hook it up to a computer and look at up to 16 graphs at once to see what all the sensors are seeing. The Diagun IV is also very nice, but like most tools, Snap On can't be beat really.

I bought the diagun iv, and had no luck registering it to use, so it was useless in my mind, then bought the Snap on. After that, I found out my error in trying to register the diagun was my own doing coupled with Chinese instructions. Anyway, I could not return the diagun after it worked, because it works real great, so I kept it and had both. The Autels all looked real nice as well.
The repair was the cruise control switches. These switches are not just basic switches. It is an interface board with like ten IC chips that decode inputs ect and send info on the can bus. This switch setup is the first thing to try in many problems.
