Anyone have the knowledge to tell me....for sure....if this MyGig will work in my 2007 X? (currently stock, single disk head unit)

Yep, that's the right part number. That's also one of the 09 models, which means it should have the 30GB HDD

couple things... just to make sure that you know. That unit does not have navigation, and nav cannot be added to it. I am sure you know but people ask a lot, so just making sure. AND.. with the backup camera you will have to take your Jeep to the dealer and have them turn it on with the starscan. It is not a big deal, but I am 99% sure it will have to be done. The mygig is plug and play tho.

If you get that for the amount it is at now, it is a great deal. The nice thing on the REN is you can install older software and make it play video in motion.

THANKS! I'm not looking for the navigation though. I have killer navigation on my cell phone and my wife and I own a portable one. No need for it in the dash. Just interested in the DVD, MP3, hands free calling, etc etc.

 

thats cool then. That unit will do what you want. I wouldn't go over $500 myself for it though. Just because I got a Mygig RER (navi unit) new in the box for $250. I don't think I could go double that for a non-nav one. That is just me though.

I think most dealers will starscan your Jeep for $40. If you are going to add lcd's in the rear also, you may want to get them to turn on VES while they are turning the cam on.

 

That $250 RER was also a VERY good deal for you; the seller gave away several hundred dollars he could have kept by selling it on ebay or craigslist instead.

Oh and I'm pretty sure once your cell phone loses it's signal the GPS on it wont work anymore either! Last thing you want to do it get lost because you thought it would work..
