Default Winch electrical wires

I just finished installing my new Warn mounting plate for the 2012 stock bumper. Suggestions on where to run the wires? Never worked on vehicles until I purchased this Jeep. Don't want to screw all the work I've done already, as the first attempt at the mounting plate failed due to a manufacturer error. Warn addressed it in a reasonable fashion. Tried googling the topic and looking through the forum but couldn't find out any specifics. Thanks for any help!

I had an m8000 on my two door. I made a bracket and mounted the sole pod box behind the grill and then ran the wires up thru the engine bay to the battery. I will post a pic if I can find it.

How do you like your M8000? That's what I'm considering just concerned I may need to go to a 10,000 but don't want to waste $$$

It was a great winch. I sold my two door last year and I now have a powerplant on my jku. But the m8000 never let me down in two years.

Just installed mine today I remote mounted the controller box. The wireless remote works great with the hood closed.

I sourced some 2awg wire from the parts store and some cable ends. Took me a few hours to get it mounted and ran.

Pic before I tucked the wires better.
