Default Windsheild mounted KC hi-lights

I was thinking about getting these. Only problem is that I was told that if I have these installed the wires would either be showing from the rear of the light assembly or a hole would have to be drilled and ran through the body so the wires are hidden. The only problem I have with that is after time rust and rot happens. And I dont think Im too keen on that idea. Anyone have any advice or already have the lights mounted up there and have run into problems? Or should I just go with mounting them on the bumper?

Great SCB thank you! Is the wire very noticeable from the rear?

No it tucks right down in the cowl piece by the wiper arms, not that noticeable at all.

Hardly notice them behind the lights, and I would highly recommend upgrading to the the Lightforce 140s or 170s, I had the KCs, the Lightforce lights blow them away in distance and clarity (white-ness?)

I have the KC's mounted on the windshield and on the bumper. I can't complain with the quality of the lights, and the wiring barely shows, just tuck it under

How do you have your Lightforce's focused-seems like they work just like a maglight flashlight-If I rotate them for a wider beam-I get a dark spot in the middle. i have been running them more like a pencil beam.
