Did you mount anything between the brackets and the body of the car? I am afraid they will scratch the paint.

when i took the screws out on the windshield, these little plastic caps were under them. i put them back in and it gave me a tiny boost behind the bracket so it wouldnt scrape. i then put a small level on them and screwed them on. the kc brackets have a thick gloss paint so even if it did connect it wouldnt scratch the jeep. you could probably put a paper towel behind the bracket and just pull it out after you get the screws in. it worked great. i got it done in about 5 to 10 minutes. what took the longest was driving to town to pick up the torx bits that i forgot. ill see if i can get a better pic of them later.

That explains alot.

I contacted Smittybilt, and they claimed to not make them any more.

I also noticed that 4wd.com had them on clearance on the webstie and they are gone as of today.

I just got a set off of ebay, which was about $15.00 more than getting from 4wd.com.

Haven't mounted them yet. Today I put up my xmas tree and had to take a pic of them under it since they were my gifts. Hope to get them on this weekend. Will post pics and info then.
