Default Wiring Driving lights

I have a 2010 JK and am in the process of installing some Hella 500 driving lights. I am a jeep newbie and was wondering the best place to go through the firewall? Or does it even matter where I go through? thanks

look at the left side of the dash, pop out the drivers side air vent (twist and pull) stick your hand in there and pop off that panel directly to the left of the vent. You will see some foam, poke a hole it in and you are good to go. It should go straight through to your engine compartment.

Just did this yesterday, stick a wire coat hanger (straightened of course) through the foam hole. Then tape your wires to the hanger on the engine side and gently pull through.

Or, if you pull out the glove box, there is a foam plug behind it as well. Very close to battery, that's where I ran mine

There's one on each side, so depending on where you're mounting the switch, you can choose the closer side. Since the battery is on the pass. side, it's more convenient.

I just put a set of those on my '10 mounted them on the windshield corners, they work great! wired them up to an A pillar switch pod through the firewall hole on the drivers side.
