Wiring Fog Switch
To be safe, tap in at least an inch away from the connector, and off-set the + & - wire taps a little bit so it can tape up better and not be a bulge. Then after you've checked you're install and everything's good, light em up and show off some pics...
Ok Sommer,
I have removed the front grill, and front bumper (Had to remove it to get the old lights off - couldn't slide them out with ACE stubby bumper on). I know you are saying to tap the middle and black wire to have the halo go on when the parking lights are on, but the halo I have only has one red wire.

Do i tap that into the white wire and thats it? If you know I would appreciate the help. Also, not sure if you know, but is it possible to tap into the wire that currently switches the fogs on and off? I would kill to be able to use the current setup for turning them on / off. Thanks in advance for the help (again).

Are you asking to use your fog light switch with the halos or the new fogs? If you hook the new fogs up to the factory wiring they should still come on with the factory switch. I'm guessing the reason you're asking is cuz they new lights came with either a switch, or just a completely pre-wired harness for a self switch, am I right?

It depends on if you're just plugging in the new fogs or cutting the stock connectors off. I'd say just cut them off and connect the new wires directly to the stock ones, it's what I did for mine in the bumper. They only have two wires, a + & -, so you can't mix em up. They will still turn on with the factory switch. As for the halos, you'll want them on the parking lights. They will still be on whenever you turn on the fogs, but the way yours are made they will compliment and brighten the pattern of your projectors.

Ok the part I was worried about turned out to be the easiest. I managed to get the factory fog on/off switch to work the new lights. I could not get the halo lights to work with the parking lights though. I plugged in the switch provided with the new lights and I was able to get the halos on that way, but it would not work when the parking lights went on. I tapped the middle wire (even tried the other + wire just to be sure) but nothing. Since I'm not using the provided switch I currently have no halo lights at all. It looks like it should work, no idea. The ground is good, and the tapped wire has power. Anything I should be checking?
Post some pics of where the fog halo wire comes out of the light housing if you can, and the wires you tried to connect them to. My guess is the connection to the halos from inside is bad. They should work the way you tried.
You can try to reconnect them, then see if the halos are receiving power with a voltmeter.
What kind of switch did the halos work with and how was it connected to everything? Post some pics of that if you can as well...
Last resort is to try tapping in to the actual headlight harness. It would be the exact same process to connect them to turn on with the headlights.
