The stock serius one is affixed to the top of the sound bar on the metal part of the roll cage just above the passengers head. Don't know if you have enough wire to run yours up there, but obviously, the higher it is the better.

I threaded my antenna from under the dash, along the windshield pillar, under the roll bar padding, an to the center of the roll cage above the speaker bar. I think this is where Chrysler puts the Sirius antenna too.

The factory Sirius antennae is mounted on the top of the sound/roll bar. Before replacing my head unit with the factory one with Sirius, I had a plug-n-play unit with a magnetic antennae in the same spot and it worked fine.

If you have a soft top, you can put it on top of the sound bar because the satellite signal can go through the soft top fabric. If you have a hard top, you'll probably have to think of someplace else if you want to take the roof panels off.

My XM works fine from this location with a hard top on. It's just fiberglass.... not much signal degradation.

I've seen some of you say that the Sirius antenna is on the roll cage, but when I pulled off the top of the center stack to do some work, there is a satellite radio antenna in there or least something that look exactly like one. Is this for Sirius or something else?

spent 30 bucks on an antenna holder that straps to the roll bar .

It's nothing more than a piece of steel and velcro straps, but it works nicely and looks clean.
