09 JKU Rubicon - "RubyJeep"
Once upon a time, a family bought their first Jeep ever, a White 2009 JKU Rubicon.
Here she is, back when she was stock. We mostly did easy expedition trails, but we had a lot of fun with her. In fact, we had so much fun that we bought a 2014 JKU Rubicon X (10th Anniversary Edition) when I got my license. I got the privilege of taking the white Rubi into my hands.
I always knew I wanted more than just an expedition vehicle, and I decided to start modifying things here and there. I like to be different- so the stock fenders, bumpers, and overall look wouldn't do.
I put on a Rockhard 4x4 Rear bumper with a swing out tire carrier and Jerry can racks, Iron Cross front stubby bumper, MBRP Roof rack, Smittybilt fender flares, Delta Halogen lights, K&N High performance cold air intake, a Flowmaster 40 muffler, and a few other cosmetic modifications such as bedliner on the stock wheels, seat covers, a few stickers just for fun, and paracord grab handles that I made myself.

She looked like this, pretty decent for a jeep with hardly any suspension modifications (I did get some KYB excel-G shocks at one point). She was doing great on trails, had a good amount of flex and could definitely perform.

I needed more ground clearance, as you can see in the picture above. Especially with the long JKU Wheelbase.

Then came Christmas, and I STUFFED 35s on this thing. I had to cut and hammer some things, but they FIT! And I had some flex too. So, I had 35x12.50 General Grabber AT2s on 16" offset Black rock steel wheels. Duh, I needed a lift. I had my sights set on metalcloak's stuff for a loooong time. Just recently, I had their 3.5" Game-Changer lift installed on my jeep with the Long-Travel Old Man Emu Shocks. What a lift, I couldn't be happier.

See what I mean? I took it wheeling as soon as it was ready. It's got the bulk of the build done before I go off to college with my boyfriend and his 98 XJ.

Here's a link to a gallery with like, all of my Jeep pictures. https://drive.google.com/folderview?...kE&usp=sharing
And if you REALLY wanna know, I've got a build list too that's pretty in-depth here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing
Hope you Enjoy!!!
