Go to home Depot and go to shelving type aisle. They have these brackets that look like old school 10 speed handlebars. They are $6.24 each. Get pipe insulation 1 package should be enough, 3-4 bucks. 2 rolls of electrical tape, 10 pack 5 bucks at HF. 4 eye lets that can be screwed into rafters or studs buck a piece. 4 Bike hold down straps10-15 bucks. Everything but brackets and insulation you can get from Harbor Freight to really save some $$$.

Cut pipe insulation to fit brackets. Go around and around and around insulation with electrical tape till completely covered. I did it twice for more protection as my top is painted. Screw in eyelets. Hook straps to both ends. Back Jeep up into place. Bring brackets down to bottom of hard top. I put freedom tops in bags and set aside. Unscrew hard top and disconnect wiper connections. Open back window. Lift an edge and slip one bracket under in place. Repeat for every corner. Pull Jeep out. Pull on a strap about a foot. Repeat on each corner till you get desired height. Be sure to do carefully, (no jerking on straps) Get on ladder and put freedom tops that are in storage bag on top of hard top.

If you have enough room buy 2 more set ups or 4 more depending on how many doors you have. Roll down windows before removing. Now you can store doors up in air too.

Nice. How do you let the straps back down? I assume the buckles are at the top hooks... Thanks!

I do not use ratchets, carefully is what I would suggest lol

Yes I lower a little at a time then when close I lift it up and set down in place.
