Thanks man! Look at local forums or Jeep groups and it shouldn't be too hard to find some rubi spring take offs with higher spring ratings. With that and flat fenders 33s should work great

Small little "mod" that I pieced together tonight; A small first aid kit that I'll be carrying in the Jeep at all times, I figured its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it

This is a great build! I too am on a budget, but half the fun has been finding extremely discounted parts that others have for sale. My favorite is the Rubicon parts that people take off and replace with heavier duty items. My gain!

Thanks man! The other half of the fun is getting out and wheeling, you don't need a Jk on 40s to hit some trails

It's been a while since I've updated the thread. I've been enjoying my Jeep a ton this month vs. adding upgrades.. I've gone down to Red River Gorge/ Slade Kentucky on 3 wheeling trips in the last month. Anyways, I forgot to post one of my mods I did about a year ago, the Smitty Tailgate storage bags. The second bag the kit came with was just too small to hold anything so I got the camo bag to throw on there. I like the bags a lot, they're good for items I like to keep permanently in the Jeep like jumpers and a first aid kit.

Keep up the good work! I started wheeling in high school too. Welding class and Auto Shop were budget savers for me! It's fun to build your own crap!

I was just reading this and you reminded me that I need a First Aid kit myself. Thanks for that.

Also, pretty cool seeing all the minor and bigger things you have changed out. I'm too old and forgetful to remember all of the things I did.

No problemo.. Definitely something good to carry on wheeling trips but I hope I don't ever have to use it!
