Thanks man.

I used RK's 3" stretch system that they offer. Standard issue awesome in a box. Ha ha.

What is your wheel offset + spacer width?

The wheels are 17 x 9 with 4" back spacing and I'm running a 1.5" wheel spacer right now. The only reason I'm running wheel spacers is because of the rear Anti-Rock arms. They are close to the tires at street PSI and I didn't want to chance tearing one up on the trail. My plan is to modify the links and lose the wheel spacers until I can build or buy some full width axles.

WOW...I didn't realize I hadn't been updating this build thread. Let me catch you guys up.

I started an 04 Super Duty axle swap and then found out about the Dana Spicer Ultimate 60s. Scrapped the SD swap and bought a set of the UD60s with 5.38s in them.

Picked up some Trail Ready Beadlocks and had them custom powder coated. They are Prismatic Gold with clear and a standard gloss black on the rings.

Mounted the tires up:

This was March 25th:

Sorry for the crappy pics, but wanted to give you guys a little update. I finally set the thing on the ground for the first time since about July last night. I am still waiting on the new arms and coil overs, so this was just for mock-up. The arms are extended out about 1" further than before and the tie rod and track bar are just set in there to check clearance.

The ride height will end up being about 2" taller than this. Those are 2.5" RK coils in the pic and all of the weight is on the front end without shocks.

Vick out at VKS Fabrication is in the process of designing the rear truss for the three link setup. I've run through the options back there and every option requires some modification, so I decided to go full custom so that if this comes up again in the future we have a go-to.

Here's some grainy pics for your viewing pleasure. Ask away if you've got any questions.

Parts started rolling in about April 10th:

All of the pieces of this puzzle have just about come together. The truss was finished up yesterday and should be on it's way home today. I also received a big ole pile of RK goodness last week and I should have everything that I need to get this baby back on the ground.

Rock Krawler 2 5/8" coil overs - Just doing the front for right now.

These things are MASSIVE.

RK hooked a brother up with these polished aluminum Offroad Pro style arms. Fronts are +1" at minimum operation length and rears are about 4" over stock. I have to get the rear put together and take some measurements for the third link there. The upper in the front was going to be the passenger side, double jointed ORP setup, but after some consideration of the HEMI going in and the like I decided to stick with a steel upper on the driver's side. I will just make adjustments as necessary.

Vick over at VKS Fab took on this side project for me and built a custom truss based on drawings, photos, and measurements off of the UD60 rear axle. A thing of beauty! Look at those freaking welds! I can't thank you enough for knocking this out Vick! Thank you!

I finally got some time to start working on it on the 5th of this month. lol Thank you guys for keeping me swamped.

---
The front coil over towers are tacked in place and the axle is set 2" forward of where it should be, but I think I'm going to push it out one more inch.

I have the coilovers in the shock mounts on the bottom and I can't find any binding with them there. If I use some custom lower mounts that RK sent me they'll be in the exact same place, just turned 90* of where they are now. After sharing some pictures, doing some test articulation, and getting some (valued) opinions, I've about decided to just run it this way.

It seems ugly, but the heim still has some articulation left in it. If I use the other mounts the heim will be 90* to this and will rotate on the bolt and the heim will handle any foreward or rearward movement that happens. We'll see what happens once it is all bolted together.

I need to lop off the upper control arm mount on the passenger side. It is an eye sore and if I run an upper on that side I'll need to replace it anyhow.

Zzzzzt...

Finally up to date!

I got a TON of work done this weekend. It will be on a roller before the end of the week. :bounce:

I hit the garage about 11:30 on Friday night and got the coil pads stripped off and almost all of the paint stripped off of the axle. Called it a night and got back at it early Saturday morning.

Rock Krawler custom made the forward spring pads for me with a 3.5" radius so I wouldn't have to grind and cut the ones for a factory axle up. Thank you again guys!

I was a little hesitant on the welding because I hadn't touched my machine since last summer when I installed the long arm. I guess it is kind of like riding a bike. I was feeling good after these. Ha ha!

Next up were the coil over towers. I didn't take as many pics and I wasn't as happy with these welds, but they are strong and will do the job just fine.

That ate up most of my Saturday and I cut the evening short to do some BBQing with the wife and neighbors.

Back at it Sunday morning working on the VKS Fabrication truss. This thing is such a work of art that I was really dreading welding on it. lol If you need anything built please do yourself a favor and give Vick a call. His work is fantastic!

I didn't get too many pics of the during process, but here it is all finished up. The diff is offset of the pinion a bit so it looks like the truss is not centered on the axle. It is actually sitting exactly 1 1/8" away from the spring pads on either side and the breather is centered. Perfect.

I will keep updating as I get it put together, but we should have driveshafts on the way and have a driver next week!

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this build! Jeremy @ Rock Krawler, Vick @ VKS Fab, Larry @ Trail Ready, and all of my friends out there who have been following along and asking for updates on social media!

You can follow along on instagram on my personal page or my RCO page. They are DoktaRose or RiverCityOffroad. You can also follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/RiverCityOffroad if you like! I am working on being more active on both.
