Oh man now that's what you call Clearance!! Are you going to run them at 20 psi on the streets or are you going higher?

I think 20 should be good, but I won't know for sure until they are under load. These Super Swamper TSL SX's come with a 6 ply sidewall, so they don't need a lot of air...

This is an awesome thread. I just wish I found it sooner.

What is the benefit of cutting out the rear of the frame and replacing it with tubes?

Thank you! Well, the rear tube frame will be stronger than stock, but the real reason is that we needed more clearance in order to install the really big rear bypass shocks and coilovers. The stock rear frame is just too wide to be able to fit the shocks. The rear tube frame that the Higher Ground shop built is a lot more narrow, and gives us the room to mount the shocks to the axle (just inside the tires), run them up through the frame, and attach them to the roll cage.

You can see how much more clearance (side to side) that we gained in this photo:

When you put your tail lights back on it's going to wreck your departure angle.

Time for some flush mount LEDs. Kinda like what the Poison Spyder Crusher Corners use.

Funny, but true. Good thing I look at tail lights as expendable, and I keep a spare set in the garage.
