I have wanted a USB power port in the dash of my '17 JK and saw a spot that would be perfect for it. Many of you have seen the worthless little hook in the dash of the sport model where they install the 12v port for models with electric windows. I havn't seen any info on this so I thought I would share how I did it.

I bought an in dash Accele USBR12V2 usb charging port from Crutchfield, Then off to Lowes where I bought a 1-3/4 x 1 machine washer and finally off to Quadratec where I purchased a 12v power accessory adapter.

Machine washer In the hardware department at Lowes....look in all the small part metal drawers with the fastners

I spray painted the washer with high temp flat black paint and simply installed the parts. Now I can quickly charge my electronics in my JK Sport. Here are some pics of the finished job.
