Default 2Hi question

This might be a stupid question, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere...!!!

We all know by now how and when to put the gears into 4Hi and 4Lo..

But how do we get it back into 2 Hi?

Is there a speed limit? Does the JK have to be in neutral? Moving? Stationary?....?...?

The way I do it is to shift into 4hi, since I keep it in 4lo on the trails, then start rolling and shift into 2hi.

from 4lo to 4hi is easy for me, but when going back to 2hi from 4hi I always go to neutral for a second then put it in 2hi. That works for me but I found out that ever jeep is a little different.

The owners manuals suggests you're moving first (at under 80MPH is it?) in 4-hi before you shift to 2-hi, and that you take your foot off the gas for a moment when you shift to help the front drive-shaft engage/disengage. Found this usually works well for me.

I usually just get the jeep on level ground and it shifts just fine while not moving. If your on unlevel ground tho you might want to move it slowly. Thats what I've always done anyway.
