Usually. If it is dry dust I will leave it for awhile until I feel like giving it a wash. Mud is always hosed off underneath right away, but there is not much mud around here and I don't like playing in the mud.

x2 on the mud.

I try to avoid it when possible...it gets into everything!

I typically will pull the Jeep into the yard and slide a garden hose with a sprayer underneath and just let it run for awhile.

It's better to be safe than sorry with mud. After seeing it get into my brothers brakes causing premature brake failure I always rinse out the wheels and brakes after wheelin to get to any stragglers. Moral of the story we avoid mud as much as possible now but if you do go through it take the extra 5 minutes to give everything ,especially the wheels and brakes, a good rinse with the garden hose. It'll give you and your jeep peace of mind. Have fun out there.

I usually wash the outside the day after and the inside 2-3 days after unless its super dirty.

PS. Take your carpet out, it'll make things ton easier.

Stuck mine by accident in stealth lake muck. Took a backhoe to get me out. Got it home and parked it in the paiute with two of the irrigation sprinklers under it and 2 at the side. Ran it for two days like that. Then still spent an hour on my back with a pressure washer on the under carriage. This weekend after 300 miles of fine dust offroading I pulled the plugs and hosed it out by hand. Sat it in the sun all day and good to go.

Yep I would say you got her stuck good. Glad to hear you did not break anything.

I hate mud... But it's part of wheeling in Ohio.

Yes, the clean up is as much a part of the wheeling as the getting dirty. Five minutes of mud makes for five hours of cleaning. The level of dirty drives the level of cleaning. Worst case I take everything apart... Like the brakes. I am also in the rust belt so it is critical to get the underbelly scratches and dents repainted.

Bottom line is I always leave a day after wheeling to clean and repair anything and everything.
