Default Airjack

I thought this was kind of cool... This Titan AirJack uses the vehicle's exhaust emissions. Apparently, it takes about 5 minutes, can lift three tons (on an array of surfaces) and costs about $100.

First- that's not my jeep (found this on the product's site), so please don't slam me for the fake Rubicon!

Second- this thing seemingly would make a good offroad jack. Anyone have experience with it?

No, but I've thought this would be nice. ARB actually makes one too. The Bushranger X-Jack; however, that one is over $200.

I had one from ARB. It came with the off road package from the dealer we bought the Land Cruiser from Used it once just to try it out. Thought of was pretty cool, but I never actually used it in the field. It took ip so much space that I never took it with considering that I already had a high lift and regular jack.

I like the idea, but does anyone have an idea about how the deflation is controlled?

I want to try one out, too.

It would be even better if it was durable enough to drive over & provide that little extra traction that many of my stuck instances seem to need.

If you don't like it as a jack, maybe a good punching bag?

It seems to me that there is some interest from people, many questions, and very little real world use. For me the concerns:
  • Durability
  • Stability -- I don't want my Jeep to become a teeter totter
  • Size -- I don't have much space in my 2 door

I saw someone use one of these back ion February to do a trail repair on a trackbar bracket...

It worked well, and inflated pretty quickly, the only thing was you had to throttle the engine to get it to fill. I liked it, but havent had the need yet. Id rather get it after I need it then to have it and never use it. Im a backwards kind of person, but thats how I do.

I guess that means either you have to keep someone in the Jeep, or climb out after it's filled up which could be unsafe.

That might have been me. I had to use it in the Pine Barrens when my track bar bracket cracked in half. It worked very well. It wasn't mine, but I would get one.
